Being in New York was truly an amazing experience. We were grateful to have close friends along with us and as always we made new friends along the way and were treated to extraordinary food and a few cocktails to boot. (Thanks Freddie and Cile!) We also had the good fortune to catch up with Justin Benson, who was the first drummer we were privileged to play with in Houston. Justin is doing great in the “Big” city and is still chasing his dreams…… as are all of us.

We want to thank everyone at Bullseye Ventures, Matt, Alex and Darrin. You guys allow us to tag along to some very special events and have been extremely supportive in our tireless effort to succeed in this crazy business.

Your friendship and support are treasured beyond words…………

Scott and Sheila

We want to say a prayer for those who lost their life during the darkest day in American history five years ago. You will never be forgotten.

8.16.05

We had a wonderful time at the Saxon pub last night. We ran in to our old friend Steven Ray Will who at one point in time was part of the Sheila Marshall Band Roster. And our good Friend Heather Webb, )who we haven't seen in a million years and plays with the band Adrian and the Sickness), was also there. For those of you who have done your homework, she used to play with Sheila in Nacogdoches in the band Thornbush......it was like a class reunion....sort of.

After our set we got to sit back and listen to Will Sexton. Dale Watson was there so he got up and did a couple of songs and low and behold the one and only Mike Judge was sittin' in on Bass. (For those of you who don't know who he is, he had a little show on MTV called Bevis and Butthead, King of the Hill and wrote/directed a great movie called Office Space.) Johnny Knoxville was also there and I believe a good time was had by all........

Hey everybody I know it’s been awhile since I have posted anything. Wow so many things have happen in this world in the past few months Katrina, Rita the mud slides in South America, the quake in Asia, the terrorist threat in NY and that guy in Oklahoma who tried to get in the stadium with a bomb it’s all so much to think about. I ended up in Dallas for the Rita evacuation and actually made it in good time. On a lighter note things have been going well we just released our second single to radio “Zip Zero” and we are getting ready for the cruise at the end of this month. Lately I have become addicted to this show “Starting Over”, anybody heard of it? Also there is a movie everyone should check out it’s called “What The Bleep Do We Know” it’s so interesting. I still have my adorable 6lb Chihuahua dog Lucita and I love her so much!!! Well I guess that’s it for now I hope to see everyone soon and thanks again for all the support…Love Sheila

Where do I start? It’s been way too long since the last entry. We’ve been very busy promoting the single “Radio” to every station that we can think of. We’re sitting at #37 on the Texas Music Chart right now. I want to thank everyone who has picked up the single and added it to their play list. Call you local radio station and make sure they keep playing the single! We’re working very hard to get this to the top ten!

I want to say what a pleasure it was to meet Ted Kamp of Shooter Jennings’s Band. This guy is a musical encyclopedia and a phenomenal bass player. We had the pleasure of having a long discussion on everything from classic Motown to places to eat in Okinawa Japan. He also has his own record out right now and you can find it at www.tedrussellkamp.com or at CD Baby.com. He wrote the song “Steady at the Wheel” on Shooter’s record “Put the “O” Back in Country” You should check him out.

We had the pleasure of going back to Banita Creek Hall in Nacogdoches. This was a great show and we want to thank everyone who came out to see us. Jorge, Shannon and Ryan went with us and played great as usual. Thank Guys! The new photos are from the show. We also want to thank Mike Martin of KJCS in Nac for getting behind the record and playing the hell out of it. Thank You so Much Mike!!!

This past weekend our good friends Starkey Johnson Band came to Houston to play a show at the Continental Club. They coaxed me into breaking out my Jazz bass and doing the set with them. I love playing with these guys’s, great friends and great music. We even played an old Griever song that we wrote when Gary and I thought we were cool back in, well, a long time ago. (We have to say thanks to Bebe’ Flambé for letting us drink all his beer and crash in his living room after the show!!!!) The next night I made the guy’s play with us at the new Armadillo Palace. We had a great show and our good friend Joey (Hard Liver) Borja show up and played pedal steel. We want to thank every one who came out and enjoyed the show.

Sheila and I can’t thank everyone enough for all the love and support we’ve received for the last couple of years! We love all of you!

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday America!! We've been very busy lately pushing our single "Radio" to every station within 500 miles. We're getting some very positive response. We're #48 on the Texas Music Chart and climbing. We've met some great people that truly love our music. Thanks to everyone who has helped along the way...you guys know who you are!

I also want to thank Joey Guerra from the Houston Chronicle for the fabulous story he did on us. Check out the link to read the story.

I'll post some more info about the stations that are playing us and how you guy's can help when I get a little more time.

The new photos are from the show we did with Django Walker at the Firehouse. They put on a great show and a good time was had by all!!!

Has no one noticed the picture of me and President Nixon??????( The Monkey photo is from our little trip to Mexico.)

It’s been a while since the last post. A lot has happened. First I want to thank Rick Star at Texas Rebel Radio KFAN Fredericksburg, TX and Bill Gregory at KRXT in Rockdale, TX for having us on their radio programs this past Friday. We thank you guys so much for being some of the first stations in TX to add the new single ”Radio” to your play list. Your support is appreciated beyond words!
We’ve got some exciting shows coming up. Friday the 17th we’re doing an acoustic opener with Roger Creager and Sat the 18th we’re going to have the full band to open for Django Walker at the Firehouse in Houston. Tuesday the 21st Sheila and I are playing an acoustic show at the Armadillo Palace in Houston. If you haven’t been to this place you need to go. Excellent music and food. (This is Sheila’s new favorite place to eat) Sunday the 26th we're doing an acoustic opener with Cory Morrow at Sam's Boat on Richmond Ave in Houston. Cory puts on a great show and I'm sure this will be a lot of Fun.
We made an impromptu trip to Monterrey Mexico on Memorial Day Weekend with our friends Jorge Badillo (Viva Bebeflembe!) and Bryan Bryant. We had a wonderful time and Sheila and I almost came home with a new member of the family. (Look for the photo)
I want to thank my good friends Starkey Johnson Band for inviting me out to play a couple of shows with them. I filled in on Bass, which I haven’t played in a while. It always a pleasure to play with these guys. You guy’s ROCK!! Thanks for the beers Lana!
Cheers and God Bless……

We actually had a long day this past Sat. we were up and playin’ at 9am for the Rotary Club and then we were off to Nacogdoches for the Colgate Country Showdown. May 15

I just wanted to post some photos from the last couple of weeks. We had a great time playing in Nacogdoches for the first time in years. Robert Truit has opened up a beautiful venue and we had a fantastic time. We got to see friends from way back and Starkey Johnson played a killer acoustic set featuring new songs from their new CD “Barnburner”. I can’t say it too many times, not only are they great friends, but they are some talented fools with an amazing ability to consume dangerous amounts of booze. My good friend Mike Cunyus came out and helped me with front house. Mike, Gary and I go way back to the days of one of the greatest bands to never make it out of Nacogdoches. “The Grievers”. We were legends in our own mind! It was great to see you Mike! We also want to thank our new friends at KJCS 103 in Nacogdoches. They’re playing our new record and we’re hoping pretty soon everyone else will be too! I also put up a photo of Sheila and I with Bobby Gresham. Bobby runs the Texas Horny Toad in Baytown, TX. We always have a great time and past Friday was no exception. (What Happens at the Toad, Stays at the Toad) Thanks to all who came out and bought CD’s. We also played an acoustic show at a new venue called the Armadillo Palace in Houston. Some of the photos are from the May 7th show that Starkey Johnson Band played and we got up and did a few songs. This is a outstanding new venue with some of the best food in town. Keep an eye on the calendar for some great shows this summer. If you read this and you like music, and there is a Radio Station in your town and you think they should be playing Sheila Marshall……..call them and tell them! Request our stuff and let me know where they are and I’ll hound them till the cows come home! As my Dad used to tell me……..”Keep On, Keepin’ On”.

God Bless

Scotty

*You can now purchase the new CD from the download page.*

We had a blast and met many new friends. I posted a few photos from the party. If you get a chance check out Robert Henry and the B-team. These guys put on a great show.

We are saddened at the loss of one of the most talented comics of our time. Mitch Hedberg has passed away at the age of 37. We had the pleasure of being at the Laff Stop in Houston when Mitch recorded his first live CD. He was a genuine kind person with a comedic style all his own. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Lynn and their extended family.

Hello . I would like to thank everyone who came out to support us at Fitz in Houston, TX. I also want to thank Frank Hart (cello) and Johnny Simmons(percussion) for playing with us, it sounded so cool. We opened for Art Alexasis from Everclear and I tell you he put on a fun show, not to mention his songwriting is great. Later on that weekend we did a live show at KPFT which was interesting. You guys should check out the radio station they are on 90.1 and they are big supporters of independent artist. We will be playing Maggie Maes this weekend in Austin right on 6th street so you guys come on out. Well until next time.......... thanks for the support, Sheila Marshall
